Inside the Seven-Stage System: How a Book Gets Built in 14 Days
Every book we publish moves through the same seven stages, two days each: Position, Architect, Draft, Refine, Format, Design, Publish. No stage is skippable, and none runs out of order. That rigidity is the entire reason the deadline holds.
The thinking half (Days 1–4)
S1 Position answers the only question that matters: who is this book for, and what single transformation does it deliver? We build a Reader Value Canvas from your intake — the value your reader gains, why it matters to them, and what's uniquely yours in delivering it.
S2 Architect turns positioning into a complete chapter-by-chapter blueprint. You approve this artifact before a word of the manuscript is drafted — and your second payment is only invoiced after that approval. You always know exactly what you're buying.
The making half (Days 5–12)
S3 Draft executes the approved architecture in your voice, from your samples. S4 Refine is the editorial pass — structure, rhythm, voice consistency — with your review built in. S5 Format produces the print-ready paperback interior and the Kindle edition. S6 Design delivers cover concepts for your approval and builds the full wrap to KDP spec.
The launch (Days 13–14)
S7 Publish configures your Amazon listing completely — description, keywords, categories, pricing, author bio — and Day 14 ends with a live Amazon link in your inbox, for a book you own outright.
Seven stages. Three approvals. Three gated payments. Zero mystery. The rest of this series walks through each stage in detail.
