Plain-language terms for the Published in 14 Days™ service. Effective June 2026 · CIONAOD Inc., Kanata, Ontario, Canada.
This page summarizes the service terms accepted at intake. Where a separately executed service agreement exists, that document governs.
“Service” means the Published in 14 Days™ done-for-you book publishing service provided by CIONAOD Inc. (“Company”), an Ontario corporation. “Client” means the person or entity submitting the intake form and engaging the Service. “Work” means the manuscript, cover, formatted files, and listing materials produced under the engagement. “Gate” means a milestone payment as described in Article 4.
The Company provides a structured publishing engagement following the Seven-Stage / 14-Day System™: positioning, architecture, drafting, refinement, formatting, cover design, and publication of the Client's book to Amazon KDP under the Client's account or an account established for the Client. The deliverables are those listed on the pricing page at the time of engagement.
The 14-day timeline runs from the kickoff call, conditional on the Client (a) completing the intake truthfully and completely, (b) responding to each approval request (outline, draft, cover) within one (1) business day, and (c) paying each Gate invoice within one (1) business day of issue. Client delays extend the timeline day-for-day and do not constitute Company default.
The total fee is USD $999 (CAD $1,394 for Canadian clients), payable in three Gates via Stripe invoice: Gate 1 USD $400 after the kickoff call; Gate 2 USD $300 upon Client approval of the outline and draft direction; Gate 3 USD $299 upon Client approval of the final formatted book prior to publication. No Gate is invoiced before the preceding work is delivered for review. Optional add-ons are quoted and agreed separately in writing.
If the Client meets all obligations in Article 3 and the book is not live on Amazon within 14 days of kickoff, the Company will continue all work at no additional charge until the book is live. This continued performance is the exclusive remedy for timeline default. Amazon's own review and processing times, while normally brief, are outside the Company's control and are handled in good faith.
Upon payment of all Gates, the Client owns one hundred percent (100%) of the copyright in the Work, including the manuscript and cover, and all royalties from sales. The Company retains no ownership interest in the Client's book. The Company may identify the book and Client name in its portfolio and marketing only with the Client's written permission. The Seven-Stage / 14-Day System™, templates, and internal tooling remain the Company's property.
The Company uses modern production tools, including AI-assisted drafting, formatting, and design tools, under the direction and editorial control of a human publisher. The Client's ideas, expertise, voice samples, and approvals are the substance of the Work. The Client is responsible for the factual accuracy of expertise they supply.
Each party will keep the other's non-public information confidential. Intake responses, drafts, and business details the Client shares are used solely to produce the Work and are not disclosed to third parties except service providers (e.g., form processing, payments) necessary to deliver the Service.
Each approval checkpoint (outline, draft, cover) includes reasonable revision within scope: structural and voice corrections at outline/draft; one round of cover direction change at design. Requests that change the book's fundamental topic, audience, or length after Gate 2 constitute a new scope, quoted separately.
The Client may cancel in writing at any time. Amounts paid for Gates whose work has been delivered for review are earned and non-refundable; no future Gate is ever owed after cancellation. If the Company cancels for reasons other than Client breach, amounts paid for undelivered work are refunded.
The Company warrants the Work will be original as assembled and professionally produced. The Company does not warrant sales volume, rankings, reviews, or revenue. Except as stated, the Service is provided without other warranties, express or implied.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company's total liability under this engagement is limited to the amounts the Client has actually paid. Neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
The Client indemnifies the Company against claims arising from materials, claims of expertise, or instructions the Client supplies (including defamation, privacy, or IP claims in Client-supplied content). The Company indemnifies the Client against claims that the Company's original production work infringes a third party's rights.
This agreement is governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. The parties attorn to the courts of Ontario.
These Terms, together with the intake form acceptance and any written add-on quotes, are the entire agreement and supersede prior discussions. If a signed service agreement exists between the parties, that executed agreement governs to the extent of any conflict.
